With only three cabins, the yacht accommodates up to six guests (nine maximum with children). The KLM Wellenreng is a traditional wooden Phinisi vessel constructed in the village of Tanah Beru on the southern coast of Sulawesi, Indonesia. Renowned for its rich boatbuilding heritage, the skilled artisans of Tanah Beru use rudimentary tools and have crafted most of Indonesia’s Phinisi boats. Measuring 25 meters in length and 6 meters in width, the Wellenreng embodies the classic Indonesian Phinisi design, featuring a hull made from durable ironwood and an entirely teakwood interior. Construction on the Wellenreng began in August 2008 and took three years. In 2011, the KLM Wellenreng embarked on its inaugural voyage to the beautiful island of Flores.
